Our Approach
☻
Connection
We believe in the power of connection and hold it as the foundation for all growth. Our track record in finding the specific connection needed for all of the young people we have worked with is impeccable. Our young people feel at ease, build trust and develop a safe space in which to talk, reflect and grow.
❋
Validation
Thoughts and feelings are influenced by our surroundings. Social, familial and educational environments are just a few of the surroundings that shape us. It’s easy to feel swept away sometimes. We help children and young people to contextualise their surroundings, finding their place in the process.
✦
Positivity
We know that it’s difficult to be positive ALL of the time but we can always strive towards positivity. We model positive behaviour, language and energy to help set goals and intentions. We help our young people to see and access the positive support that they have around them. The people around us can be instrumental in helping us make progress.
✿
Resilience
Our goal is to build resilience, NOT to ‘fix’ a young person. We understand that life constantly presents challenges and obstacles. We will have moments when we are feeling low but our resilient brain and mind will guide us back to where we can be content. Our aim is to give young people the tools to consistently build this resilience.
Our Ethos
Young people are at the centre
Finding positive outcomes
Building a support network

Testimonials
“
Matt was an absolute tower of strength, not only for our daughter, but also for me personally when trying to navigate her through some difficult, emotional times. He was always available to offer support and advice and truly felt like a supportive friend, whilst still remaining professional. I believe this was a key trait of Matt’s personality and fundamental success in helping her through what otherwise would have been a stressful & worrying chapter.

Matt gave me great advice on how to cope with stressful situations. I always felt safe and calm. He never judged me for anything that I opened up to him about. He helped me on how to deal with difficult friendships and decisions. Because of his guidance, and the tools he gave me to manage outside of our sessions, I feel like I have more control throughout tough times that I faced . He was a safe space to share my thoughts. More than a counsellor, he was like a friend that understood me.
